Mr. Mutombo then proceeded to fight his way through an aggressive
crowd, pictured below, with not so much as a "Cookie, cookie, cookie" in
response to the barage of hisses and boos he received from the tough crowd.
Ever the gentleman, he never lost his cool, even as his massive, comical eyes belied the
true fear within his large, knowledge-rich heart.
With his friends Webber and O'Neal watching on, Mr. Mutombo bravely fought his way into
court, standing at attention as veteran judge Shawn Bradley entered the now-silent court.
Everyone's eyes were fixed upon the massive man who would decide Sir Dikembe's fate, and
this reporter was no exception. |

Without a single dry eye in the
room, we waited anxiously for District Attorney Gasol to present his case.
Piece by piece we watched the wiley and elusive Gasol cut into Mutombo's vaunted
"Cookie, cookie, cookie" defense for which he has become a living legend.
